Here Circular Materials plays a key role: the<a href=\"http:\/\/old.circularmaterials.it\/en\/impianto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> company\u2019s patented innovation<\/a>, <strong>SWaP (Supercritical Water Precipitation)<\/strong>, leverages the properties of supercritical water to recover valuable metals with a 99% efficiency rate, preventing the loss of resources and eliminating the production of toxic sludges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This is a milestone that validates our commitment to providing a sustainable alternative to traditional mining and a key driver for our scale-up at European level. We will keep working closely with key stakeholders to improve Europe&#8217;s role in the responsible management of critical resources\u201d, s<\/em>tated Marco Bersani, founder and CEO. &#8220;<em>We have the privilege to thrive in Italy and Europe, where institutions are demonstrating a strong focus and commitment to circularity and sustainability\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Being recognized as a Strategic Project enables Circular Materials to accelerate its industrial development plan, benefiting from streamlined permitting procedures and enhanced access to public funding to establish recovery centers more rapidly across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The company was founded in 2019 and backed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.360cap.vc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">360 Capital<\/a> in 2020, launched its first authorized plant in Padua, where a team of 24 people recovers Nickel, Copper, Tin, Chromium, and precious metals with a processing capacity of about 1,000 tons of wastewater per year. A new plant will be installed in Italy by 2026, with an industrial wastewater treatment capacity of up to 20,000 tons per year and valorization of over 4ktpa in strategic metals, through a network of hubs in key industrial districts across EU by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Aligned with the <strong>Clean Industrial Deal<\/strong> strategy, Circular Materials is positioned as a key partner for strategic industries\u2014including batteries, semiconductors, defense, and aerospace\u2014to become more sustainable and resilient towards the global raw materials challenges.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ITA:<\/strong><br \/><\/em><em>Un progetto italiano a scala europea riconosciuto come strategico per il recupero di metalli critici da rifiuti<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(Padova) 26.03.2025 \u2013 Circular Materials, societ\u00e0 italiana specializzata nel recupero dei metalli contenuti nei rifiuti industriali, \u00e8 stata<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_25_864\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> selezionata dalla Commissione Europea<\/a>, come Progetto Strategico all\u2019interno del Critical Raw Materials Act, insieme ad altri 3 progetti in Italia e 46 in Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Il <a href=\"https:\/\/single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu\/sectors\/raw-materials\/areas-specific-interest\/critical-raw-materials\/critical-raw-materials-act_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRMA<\/a> ha l\u2019obiettivo di garantire l&#8217;approvvigionamento delle materie prime strategiche, aumentandone il riciclo e riducendo la dipendenza dalle importazioni. \u00c8 qui che entra in campo l\u2019unicit\u00e0 di Circular Materials: una <a href=\"http:\/\/old.circularmaterials.it\/en\/impianto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tecnologia innovativa brevettata<\/a> (<strong>SWaP &#8211; Supercritical Water Precipitation<\/strong>) che sfrutta le propriet\u00e0 dell\u2019acqua supercritica per trasformare rifiuti, non trattabili con tecniche tradizionali, in metalli strategici per la transizione energetica. Il processo ha un\u2019efficienza superiore al 99%, evita la dispersione nell\u2019ambiente di risorse preziose e la produzione di fanghi tossici.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>\u00c8 un traguardo che rafforza il nostro impegno nell\u2019offrire un\u2019alternativa sostenibile all\u2019estrazione mineraria tradizionale e ci permette di accelerare l\u2019espansione a livello europeo.
