This prestigious event serves as a key platform for global experts to come together and explore the evolving landscape of the<strong> battery recycling industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of Marco&#8217;s attendance was his participation in the workshop entitled &#8220;<em>Black Mass Recycling and Critical Raw Materials<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>This session provided an <strong>in-depth examination of the impact of the new Battery Regulation on black mass recycling<\/strong> &#8211; a crucial area for the recovery of critical raw materials from spent batteries.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>workshop covered several critical aspects<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The feasibility and implications of hazardous waste classification: understanding the impact of waste classification on recycling processes.<\/li>\n<li>Technological challenges: identifying and overcoming barriers to achieving ambitious recycling targets.<\/li>\n<li>Quality criteria for End-of-Waste classification: setting standards to ensure recycled materials meet the required quality benchmarks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Black-mass recycling presents significant challenges but is essential for the efficient recovery of valuable materials from batteries. At <strong>Circular Materials<\/strong>, we are committed to developing innovative technologies and processes <strong>to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of black-mass recycling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the findings of ICBR 2023, we are increasing our focus on advancing technologies specifically tailored to the black mass recycling value chain. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Since 2022, we have been working closely with European partners to refine and scale our technology, preparing it for wider deployment in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We invite you to follow our journey as we work towards a more sustainable future for the battery recycling industry.
