In the meantime, here’s Enrico’s interview:

1) What are your responsibilities at Circular Materials?
I’m the Technical Manager, and my goal is to build an engineering team capable of tackling the challenges and needs that come with the company’s growth. Specifically, I focus on supporting plant design, optimizing equipment efficiency and safety, automating processes, standardizing procedures, and managing technical documentation. I also oversee maintenance activities to collect data on structural limits — crucial for design, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.

2) What was your educational background?
I graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Padua in 1997. After a brief experience as a Quality Engineer, I spent several years as a Process Engineer for a multinational petrochemical company in Porto Marghera, working on plant optimization and international plant start-ups. Later, I spent 15 years in plant engineering — first as a Project Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector, then as Head of the Process Department in an engineering firm with 500 employees.

3) How have you developed your skills at CM?
On the one hand, I’m deepening my understanding of Circular Materials’ technology, including lab and plant experimentation conducted by my colleagues, wastewater treatment regulations, and the principles of the circular economy — all new but essential areas for our goals. On the other hand, I bring my professional experience and know-how to support the company.

4) How would you describe your relationship with the team?
My approach is collaborative, and I strive to maintain a good relationship with everyone. Due to work needs, I interact more frequently with certain colleagues, and naturally, we know each other better. Nevertheless, I always try to make myself available, especially to younger team members, offering technical and methodological advice when I can.

5) What aspects of the Circular Materials project do you appreciate the most?
What I appreciate most about CM is its ambitious vision: building innovative industrial plants over the next five years. The company has turned research, intuition, and innovation into a sustainable business model — recovering raw materials and reducing the environmental impact of industrial wastewater. There’s still huge potential to unlock, and the challenge will be to industrialize our technology within the expected timeframe. But contributing to a project that is clear, profitable, and beneficial for the planet — that’s what excites me the most.
