A passionate cyclist, from the Euganean Hills to Monte Grappa (and beyond!), no climb is too steep for him. 🚵🏻 With the same determination he puts into cycling, Francesco tackles every workday with dedication and a smile, making him a truly special colleague. In the company, he’s nicknamed “Freddy” due to a certain resemblance… can you guess who we’re referring to? 🤔

In the meantime, here’s Francesco’s interview:
1) What are your responsibilities at Circular Materials?
I work in Research and Development, focusing on pre- and post-processing. My primary goal is to experiment with and integrate innovative chemical-physical processes to optimize wastewater treatment with our systems, maximizing metal recovery. Additionally, I actively contribute to creating increasingly efficient “recipes,” supporting the continuous improvement of our technology.
2) What was your educational background?
I earned a diploma as a Higher Technician in Nanotechnology, a program that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the laboratory environment. It was there that I discovered my passion for research, which now drives my daily work.
3) How have you developed your skills at CM?
The lab experience I gained during my studies is the foundation of my professional approach. At Circular Materials, I have the unique opportunity to test solutions on a small scale and then move on to scaling them up. This process not only helps advance our treatment systems but also continuously enriches my expertise.
4) How would you describe your relationship with the team?
I have an excellent relationship with the team, both inside and outside the workplace. Our similar ages and backgrounds foster open communication and a constant exchange of ideas, which enhances everyone’s work.
5) What aspects of the Circular Materials project do you appreciate the most?
Sustainability and technological innovation are the cornerstones of Circular Materials. Being able to work on developing new technologies provides constant challenges and the chance to make a tangible impact on creating change.
