In the meantime, here’s Andrea’s interview:
1) What are your responsibilities at Circular Materials?
I handle administrative management and financial planning, which includes forecasting cash flows, drafting budgets and the company’s business plan, as well as management control.
2) What was your educational background?
I graduated in Management Engineering from the Politecnico University of Milan and later obtained a Master’s in Corporate Finance from the London Business School. Before joining Circular Materials, I worked for several years in a strategic consulting firm, followed by a role at a bank specializing in private investment management. After that, I led a company in the food production sector for 15 years.
3) How have you developed your skills at CM?
My expertise in finance has proven particularly useful for the tasks I perform at Circular Materials, especially in managing and planning cash flows, which are crucial for the growth of a startup. The real challenge has been applying established management methodologies in a context where “Research and Development” is one of the main activities.
4) How would you describe your relationship with the team?
As a “senior” member of the team, I deeply appreciate the informal and collaborative atmosphere at Circular Materials. It’s always a pleasure to come into the office and interact with people who are incredibly passionate about their work. Moreover, I believe my many years of experience perfectly complement the enthusiasm of a young and dynamic team.
5) What aspects of the Circular Materials project do you appreciate the most?
I greatly appreciate Circular Materials‘ role in building a sustainable economy, combining entrepreneurial challenges with a strong environmental and social focus. Our technology helps reduce energy waste and environmental damage by enhancing key elements of industrial processes. These are priceless motivations for committing to this exciting challenge.
